Not a prime member? Try it free for 30 days…
If you’re starting to think about holiday shopping AND you like to save money, then this one’s for you!
Here’s the deal:
From October 10 – 11, 2023 Amazon Prime members will get exclusive access to holiday deals. (Yes, you have to be a Prime member, but don’t worry — if you aren’t yet you can try it FREE for 30 days!)
You can expect some of Amazon’s best deals of the season during this two-day event. But how exactly can you ensure that you’re maximizing your savings? That’s what I’m sharing in today’s post.
Coming right up….
Tip #1: Sign Up for invite-only deals
Sign up for invite-only deals on select products — these are doorbuster deals on items that are expected to sell out fast (mainly brand name electronics).
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the invite-only deals:
If you’re chosen for one of these deals, you’ll be alerted during the Prime Big Deal Days event. They will send step-by-step instructions on how to complete your purchase. Just remember — you’ll need to act fast on these offers!
Tip #2: Get in on Early Deals
While the main event runs from October 10-11, some items are on sale already, so be sure to check today’s deals.
Tip #3: Set Up Deal Alerts
Want to receive notifications when your recently viewed items go on sale? Be sure to subscribe by visiting the Prime Big Deal Days event page on the Amazon Shopping app. Once there, you can create deal alerts and receive push notifications on your available deals.
Tip #4: Utilize Alexa to Track Deals
Be sure to have Alexa send you deal notifications up to 24 hours in advance on eligible items you’ve saved on a Wish List, in your Cart, or have Saved for Later. Ask Alexa to remind you when the deal goes live; you can even make a purchase by saying, “Alexa, buy it for me.”
Another option is to have Alexa alert you at the start of Prime Big Deal Days by saying, “Alexa, set a reminder for Prime Big Deal Days.”
Tip #5: Get a $15 Credit
Get a $15 Amazon credit for Prime Big Deal Days when you back up your photos with Amazon Photos.
Enjoy your unlimited photo storage in three easy steps:
- Get the app.
- Upload your photos.
- Claim your reward.
You’ll receive your credit within four days.
Tip #6: Know What You Need
Of course, you know that you’re not REALLY saving money when you make impulse purchases. Which is why you should go into this knowing what you need, and knowing your budget.
Consider making a list of all the people you’re shopping for this holiday season, along with gift ideas for each person. When you run across deals on those items, you might still want to do a little sleuthing to find out if it’s actually a good deal.
I frequently compare prices against other retailers online. You could also try apps like camelcamelcamel and Honey to help you look at past pricing.
Why Become an Amazon Prime Member?
Besides getting in on Amazon Prime deal days, what are the benefits of becoming a member? Is there really any other reason to sign up?

You can decide for yourself whether that makes it worth the cost or not. Or you could try Amazon Prime FREE FOR 30 DAYS to see what it’s all about.
